UI/UX Basics: Navigating XALTERverse
XALTERverse Interface & Controls
This guide introduces the main user interface (UI) and controls in XALTERverse. By the end of this walkthrough, you will be able to customize your avatar, navigate between training modules, and adjust your comfort settings.
01. The Welcome Center
Your private onboarding hub for personalization and practice.
đ¤ Avatar Hub: Change your appearance and character style before entering modules.
âī¸ Basic Setup: Adjust initial graphics, audio, and comfort presets.
đŽ Controller Diorama: View an interactive tutorial to master headset inputs.
02. Core Controls & Interaction
đ¯ Teleport: Hold B (Right) or Y (Left). Point and release to move.
đą Main Menu: Press the small Menu Button on the Left controller.
đ¤ Interaction: Use the Side Grip to pick up objects and the Trigger to select.
đšī¸ Navigation: Use the joysticks for "Snap Turn" looking or smooth walking.
03. Main Menu Navigation
Access these tabs at any time via the Left-Hand Menu (LHM).
| Audio/Video | Fine-tune sound levels and visual quality settings. |
| Module Settings | Modify specific options for your current training scenario. |
| Friends List | View online users and connect with other trainees. |
| Avatar | Update your character's look while inside any module. |
04. Navigating Between Modules
To switch training areas: Open LHM â Select the SCENARIOS tab.
đ Launch Solo: Start a fresh version of a module for independent practice.
đ¤ Join Group: Enter an in-progress session to collaborate with others.
05. Personalization & Comfort
đ Comfort Settings
Swap between Teleportation and Joystick Walking to find your preferred movement style.
đŧī¸ Graphics & Audio
Optimize performance or increase immersion via the Audio/Video settings in the LHM.
