đ What You'll Need
Headset, Controllers, Wi-Fi Credentials, Guest Code
01. Power On & Verify Launcher
Power on the headset and put it on to confirm your starting point.
Check for the Launcher: You should land on a screen displaying the XALTER app icon. This is the ManageXR Launcher.
â If you see this launcher, the headset is correctly configured for your program.
02. Connect to Wi-Fi
- From the launcher, open Wi-Fi / Network Settings.
- Select your approved school SSID and enter the password.
- Confirm the connection remains stable for at least 15 seconds.
Note: Captive portals (web sign-in pages) often block VR headsets. If connection fails, see Troubleshooting below.
03. Tracking & Sanity Check

Confirm both controllers appear in VR and move smoothly as you move your hands.
đ Launch XALTER
Select XALTER from the launcher and confirm it opens to the Login Screen.
⨠Setup complete when Wi-Fi is stable, controllers track, and XALTER opens successfully.
04. Troubleshooting
đļ Wi-Fi Won't Connect
- Double-check SSID and Password.
- If your school uses a Captive Portal, ask IT for a "Devices" SSID or MAC Address allowlisting.
â Missing Launcher or App
- Restart: Power cycle the headset and re-check.
- Profile Issue: If still missing, the headset may be on the wrong profile. Contact support with your Asset Tag.
đšī¸ Controller Issues
- Ensure the room is well-lit and free of large mirrors/reflective surfaces.
- Confirm controller batteries are fully charged.
