App Won’t Launch on Quest
Overview: Users attempt to open XALTERverse on a Quest headset, but the app fails to start or immediately closes.
Possible Causes:
- App not fully installed or corrupted during download.
- Device not assigned or updated properly via Meta Horizon.
- Cache or saved data conflicts from previous sessions.
- Network or account login failure at startup.
Step-by-Step Fixes:
- Basic Checks: Ensure the headset is powered on, connected to Wi-Fi, and the battery is charged.
- Check App Library: Confirm that XALTERverse is visible under Apps > Unknown Sources or Managed Apps.
- Reboot Headset: Hold the power button and restart the device.
- Reinstall App: If XALTERverse is missing or fails to launch, uninstall and reinstall via App Lab or MHMS push.
- Network Check: Verify Wi-Fi is working by launching the Browser app.
- Account Login: If prompted, re-enter username/SSO credentials.
When to Escalate:
