Site Lab: Exploration, Identification & Gas Flow
01. Visualizing Gas Flow
Trace the process from extraction to transport. The Site Lab renders the live flow of gas through the entire equipment loop.
The Flow Path loop:
• Wellhead (Extraction)• GPU Unit• Conditioning Skid• Compression Skid• Flow Meters• Pig Sender• Pipeline (Transport)
🔧
Interactive Valves: Grab and turn any valve on-site. If you close a valve, you will see the visual gas flow stop or redirect in real-time.
02. Free-Form Identification (Flashcards)
Look for Blue and Green Orbs floating next to components. These serve as interactive "flashcards" for self-study.
🔦 Point & Select
Use your laser pointer (A or X) to select an orb or object and pull the Trigger.
📚 Information Provided
Menus will display the item name, its specific function, and how it works within the larger facility.
03. Structured Learning (Central Board)
The Identification Board in the center of the site hosts modules for system-wide learning and testing.
Guided Identification
The simulation walks you through the facility, highlighting components one by one with expert explanations.
Quizzes & Testing
Find specific components on request. The system tracks your accuracy, logs errors, and allows you to "Skip" if you are stuck.
👨🏫 Instructor Note:
The Site Lab is the recommended starting point for large classes. Use the Free-Form Identification tools for a group overview before assigning individual training scenarios.
